Terms and Conditions of Purchase
When you shop on arkitektforeningen.dk, your order is placed with Akademisk Arkitektforening, Åbenrå 34, 1124 Copenhagen K, which handles all orders.
Prices
All prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK). Membership in a professional association is not subject to VAT. Akademisk Arkitektforening is exempt from submitting VAT accounts and therefore cannot deduct input VAT. Consequently, sales VAT is not specified, as it cannot be deducted by our members.
Payment Terms
Payment is made by credit card (Dankort / VISA-Dankort, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, VISA). Payment is encrypted and processed via QuickPay. We do not charge a fee for using payment cards. When purchasing membership, the payment is reserved on your card but is not charged until your membership has been approved (in practice: when we have confirmed that your architecture degree is EU-recognized in accordance with EU Directive 2005/36/EC), or when we have verified that there is no misuse of our system.
Delivery
We process your membership application within one week. Once your membership has been approved, you will receive an email with further information about your membership. We reserve the right to longer processing times during holiday periods, staff illness, or similar circumstances.
Right of Withdrawal
There is no right of withdrawal when purchasing a membership.
Termination
Termination of membership must be communicated to the Danish Association of Architects (Arkitektforeningen) by letter or email. Termination must be given with at least one month’s notice to the end of a quarter, and must be submitted in writing to the association.
Storage and Use of Data
All personal information (name, address, civil registration number, email, details about education level and institution, and professional interests) is treated confidentially and in accordance with the Danish Data Protection Act. Arkitektforeningen guarantees that the necessary technical, practical, and organizational measures have been implemented to prevent personal and payment data from being accidentally or unlawfully destroyed, lost, or accessed by unauthorized persons. Your information will never be shared or sold to third parties. Credit card information is handled by QuickPay and Nets and is not stored or registered in Arkitektforeningen’s systems.
Newsletters and Emails
To keep our members updated, we send out emails/newsletters every week. You can unsubscribe from emails/newsletters at any time by clicking the link in any newsletter, or by sending an email to

Displaying Your Profile on arkitektforeningen.dk
Arkitektforeningen displays member profiles on the website under “Find an Architect.” This publication serves the purpose of promoting members’ status as Architect MAA. Based on the principles that (1) the public should be able to verify whether an architect is a member, and (2) members should be able to find each other, contact information (address and email) for members is displayed. If you do not wish to be publicly listed on Arkitektforeningen’s website, you can request that your MAA profile be hidden at any time by sending an email to
mail@arkitektforeningen.dk.
Publication in Arkitekten
In addition, the magazine Arkitekten publishes your name and birthday when you reach a milestone birthday. If you do not wish to be mentioned there, you can indicate this in your profile settings on Arkitektforeningen’s website, or notify the association by sending an email to
mail@arkitektforeningen.dk.
